Logis Hôtels- Hôtel Marguerite d'Anjou Angers château

We felt we arrived as customers and left as friends. Nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed travel tips to slightly off-the-radar destinations, help with computer problems, parking hints, places to eat, and generally, they were always on hand for help or simply an enjoyable conversation. A room overlooking the castle was the icing on the cake. Despite the central location, the hotel was quiet, day and night.

The beautiful, spotlessly clean hotel is located in a perfect location next to the Angers Castle, the tourist visitor center, and an incredibly good bakery. It is also within short walking distances to nice restaurants, shops, parks, museums (definitely be sure to visit the great museums!), historical sites, and the train station. The view of the castle and each evening's sunset from our room’s window was amazing! Breakfasts were deliciously filling and the coffee is fantastic! Special thanks to the talented, thoughtful, helpful, kind, fun team that run this incredible gem.

The hotel was in an excellent position for exploring the beautiful city of Angers. Although a little noisy during the day at the present due to the landscaping of a derelict area below the castle opposite, this will when finished really cement its position. The staff were amazingly helpful on many questions and spoke excellent English which helped a great deal. Due to the Unexpected June heatwave it was rather hot at night but a fan was provided and there were air conditioned rooms available. Because of global warming they realise that they are going to have to put units in all rooms.

The rooms were very clean. I like they have wood/vinyl plank flooring instead of carpet. The staff was incredible, so nice and helpful. We are a family of 5 and they were able to get us two rooms next to each other with a view of the fort. Breakfast was fruits, various bread with jelly, hot chocolate, orange juice, cereal, yogurt. Excellent location for walking to the fort, the medieval area and restaurants. Rented a car from the train station nearby.

You couldn't get a better location. The decor was beautiful and the two gentlemen at reception were amazing. So friendly and helpful. I loved the art and the big tea cups in the room. The shower was great, everything clean and modern. Great value and I would stay again.
